70% Of Shoppers Abandon Their Cart
Researchers studied average shoppers, and found that a majority abandon their cart before checkout. The million dollar question: Why? A good percentage is based on a confusing checkout process. Some of the dropouts stem from a shopper getting to the checkout, checking out the competition, and buying somewhere else based either on price, a better guarantee, or some other good reason. Other reasons include not having a secure site. If there isn't security (SSL), people wonder if their credit card information might get snatched online. One major problem that everyone should look at is based on content. Write a description that 1) sells the item. If you were a store owner, and a customer was looking at a product on your shelf, You have that quick one liner explaining why the product is so good will get you a quick sale. Same on the web. 2) Make sure to include all the features. The gnawing question if the widget does whatever might make a consumer bolt before payday.
How To Trick Search Engines
The title of this article is a little misleading. You can't trick search engines. At least not forever. Eventually everybody doing black hat marketing gets caught and banned. It's not worth it, and it's not nice either. So what can you do? Content, content and content. And in case I forget, let me mention content also.
